If you want to know how Google sees your website and if there are any critical errors that need to be addressed then you must register with Google Webmasters as well as Google Analytics and submit a sitemap of your Kwikwap website. In this section we deal with submitting a sitemap to Google via Google Webmasters.

As stated on their website: 

'' Get data, tools and diagnostics for a healthy Google friendly site " . That nicely sums up what benefits you can get from their website.


Once you have signed up with Google Webmaster you will be able to submit a sitemap.

This is how you do it.

You first need to ad the website that you want to manage. After signing in click on Add a site


 

You can the enter the url of your website. (url stands for uniform resource locator aka you website address.)


Click on continue.

You will then be asked to verify that you are the owner of the domain.


Copy the code without the brackets. It is an HTML verification file and need to be copied and pasted in your Kwikwap Website.

In Kwikwap first click on admin and reports, then verify website for Google.


You will paste the code, click on done and then publish your website. Google will now be able to verify that you are in deed the owner of the domain (website) .

You will now be able to add a Sitemap.


Click on Add / Test Sitemap

You will now need to type in sitemap.xml in the space provided . After your domain. See image below.


Click on Submit Sitemap.

It is expected that once you have reached this stage of your development that you need not to be told to click here or click there. lol! This section of the training is more for serious website owners and Kwikwap consultants. Google, Google Analytics, Google Webmaster and Face Book keeps on changing and improving bring out new things. This is why we can not print a complete manual in hard copy. It will probably be outdated by the time the ink is dry. By breaking this online training in separate pieces via a live section on our website we aim to address that issue.
